Another bumper year for students at Hillside High School celebrating their GCSE Results.
Hillside students have excelled themselves once again, making the school incredibly proud of their GCSE achievements, with every student leaving the school ready for further education and exciting careers.
2016 results show exceptional performance in the English Baccalaureate (English, Maths, 2 Sciences, History/Geography and Spanish). With an increase of 6% of students achieving this rigorous academic measure resulting in 34% of Students achieving English Baccalaureate status this year. These results reflect Hillside’s absolute commitment to providing the highest quality education through a traditional curriculum.
Hillside continues to surpass the national results in GCSE science subjects including Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Performing Arts subjects have shone yet again with exceptional results in Drama, Music, Dance and Film Studies. English Language results remain strong and in line with National and maths results are continuing to improve which reflects the strength in the departments. Spanish results are phenomenal once again this year, beating the national average by 15%. This reflects the hard work and commitment of the students and staff here at Hillside and we are very proud of the successes of our students.
There were also exceptional individual achievements, with the top 12 performers achieving over 85 A and A* grades between them!
