Year 10 Event - Welcome to GCSE

Monday 23rd September 5.45pm

As part of our continuing support for your child, we are holding a Year 10 parental event called ‘Welcome to GCSE’ on Monday 23rd September. The evening is an opportunity for our pupils to work alongside their parents/guardians to learn more about how to best prepare for their final examinations in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. Activities will include:

· Strategies for how to revise effectively in each subject.

· Study materials to use at home.

· Hints and tips for how parents/guardians can best offer support and guidance.

· Tips for good mental wellbeing during Year 10 and 11

I am sure you will agree, it is very important that your child is properly prepared for their examinations and these activities will provide them with crucial examination techniques and a clear direction as to what they need to be studying between now and final exams.

Light refreshments will be provided during the workshops.

The evening will begin at 5.45pm and finish at approximately 7:30pm. Attendance is essential to support your child in achieving their target grades.
