Golf Sixes Competition

Last week, our Year 7 pupils took part in an exciting and memorable event—the very first Secondary School Sixes Golf competition, believed to be the first of its kind in the country. The event was held at Aintree Golf Course, providing our students with a fantastic opportunity to experience the sport in a professional setting.

For many of our pupils, this was their first time ever playing golf, and they approached the challenge with enthusiasm, determination, and excellent sportsmanship. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow throughout the session, with several students quickly picking up new skills and demonstrating impressive natural ability.

The day was not only about competition but also about participation and enjoyment, helping to introduce more young people to a sport they may not have otherwise experienced. We are incredibly proud of how well all of our pupils represented the school.

We are delighted to have secured two more sessions later this term, allowing students to continue developing their skills and passion for golf. We hope this is just the beginning of growing interest in the sport within our school community.
